Welcome to our very first blog post! Yes, we are officially jumping into the blogging world, and honestly, we are so excited to finally have a space where we can pull back the curtain and share what goes on behind the scenes at MF Creative Designs. Moving forward, this blog is going to be your go-to spot for everything from late-night event branding ideas (you know we love a custom pizza box) to design inspiration, styling tips, and all the chaotic fun that happens in our studio. We plan on blogging regularly to give you a real look at how we bring events to life, but since this is Day One, we figured there is no better way to launch this thing than by introducing the absolute rockstars who make it all happen.
We talk a lot about big-picture event branding around here, but let’s be real—it takes a serious amount of behind-the-scenes muscle to turn those wild concepts into reality. Every single piece of the puzzle matters, and this crew is the actual heartbeat of everything we do.
Here is a quick look at the team making the magic happen:
- Melanie (Founder & Creative Director): The visionary who started this whole crazy journey. Before launching MFCD, Melanie spent years in high-end spaces doing 3D visual merchandising and window design for Neiman Marcus. That’s where she learned exactly how elements like lighting, texture, and color change how a room actually feels. She is completely obsessed with what she calls “the last 10%”—those subtle, day-of details most people overlook, but that guests completely experience. When she isn’t drafting up killer designs, she’s usually blasting Taylor Swift, redecorating moments in her home or relaxing with her family and friends sipping a ranch water and snacking on guac after a long week.
- Abby (Business Manager): Our resident spreadsheet wizard and the ultimate organizational backbone of the studio. Abby has over 15 years of heavy-hitting experience managing luxury weddings, country clubs, and massive events like the PGA Championships. She keeps our projects on track, our sanity intact, and handles the chaos with a dirty chai always nearby. She’s the unofficial team mom at the office and a real-life mom to two active kiddos at home.
- Cindy (Senior Graphic Designer): MFCD’s very first hire and our resident creative spark. Cindy brings elite luxury branding skills, an endless supply of thrifting recommendations, and a massive love for early 2000s coffee shop vibes. If you need a quick Adobe fix or want to get lost in a wild conspiracy theory deep dive, she’s your girl. Plus, she pretty much claims total ownership of the studio playlist most days. (and doesn’t let Melanie solely play Tay Tay)
- Hannah (Client Coordinator): The gatekeeper of our workflow, completely detail-obsessed and process-driven. Hannah makes sure every single order is placed perfectly and no detail ever gets dropped. Fun fact: she actually discovered our work out in the wild, slid right into our Instagram DMs to say hello, and we hired her on the spot. When she’s not keeping us organized, she’s usually planning trips to Austin that revolve entirely around coffee and tacos.
- Kamryn (Junior Graphic Designer): Our calm, cool, collected utility player who happily jumps into everything from initial design to final production and proofing. A proud Baylor grad (Sic em) and runner, she keeps the studio moving, powered almost entirely by strawberry matcha. Just don’t get her started on punctuality or organization, because then she is strictly team #nochill.
Together, we’ve got the creative brainpower, the spreadsheets, and the execution to make your next event unforgettable.
